About the role
- Plant may be a stand-alone facility or a relatively independent unit within a larger site.
- This could mean being responsible for the development or operation of the system. - Plans and Aligns: Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
- For example, makes nimble plans accounting for a range of risks and contingencies.
Responsibilities
- Support the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for a large portion of the business.
- Initiate, formulate, and implement new manufacturing methods and processes while managing the development and/or delivery of a significant element of the company's manufacturing process improvement program.
- Manage budget plans for a department; could involve development or delivery (or both).
- Manage certain aspects of the internal communications system with some guidance from senior colleagues.
- Manage certain aspects of the external communications system with some guidance from senior colleagues.
- Achieves greater cohesion, integration, and alignment between own group and other areas.
- For example, measures and tracks team's and own performance, and helps the team learn from success, failure, and feedback.
- Equips others to handle day-to-day tasks effectively on their own.

Skills
- Health and Safety: Acts as the organizational authority and established expert on managing and applying safe systems of work.
- BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 10+ years relevant experience
- Provide input to the overall production planning framework and systems.
- Evaluate the capabilities of staff within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities.
Compensation
- Develop and gain agreement to annual business plans for a function or substantial business area, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other key performance indicators); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration.
- Manage and report on the performance of the function / business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
