About the role
- The Nursing Supervisor is a professional nurse who is responsible for coordination and supervision of patient care on multiple nursing units and departments on the evening, night, and weekend shifts.
- He/she works closely with Clinical Managers and others to ensure that high quality, timely service is provided to all patients.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains interdisciplinary communication and cooperation. Promotes a positive image of the Nursing Division and BMCHS through effective interaction with patients, visitors, physicians, community, and the public.
Requirements
- Leadership experience required.
- Must be able to demonstrate the clinical knowledge and skills necessary to oversee the provision of care to patients ranging in age from infancy to geriatrics.
- Certification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS, and ACLS required
- 5+ years of Staff Nurse experience including Charge Nurse responsibilities.
Nice to have
- Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required
- Nursing degree required: diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
