  • Job Description: Berklee College of Music's Screen Scoring Department invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Game and Interactive Media Scoring (GAIMS).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine curriculum to reflect emerging trends in interactive audio, immersive storytelling, and nonlinear media.
  • Collaborate with Berklee ITS and Lab Operations to maintain and advance classroom technology infrastructure.
  • Maintain regular student office hours.
  • We seek an innovative educator and accomplished media composer to help lead and expand the first comprehensive undergraduate program of its kind.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with immersive and spatial audio (VR/AR/XR), 360° audio, or metaverse applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in scoring technology, including DAWs (Cubase, Pro Tools), notation software (Dorico), and virtual instruments.
  • Recording studio experience, session management, and conducting skills.
  • Strong background in composition, orchestration, and professional notation formatting and standards.
  • Experience integrating generative AI tools into creative or pedagogical workflows.
