About the role

  • Engagement Type: Independent Contractor Agreement for Provision of Services (long-term).
  • This is an ongoing contractual engagement with a US-based company and is not limited to a single project.
  • You will provide services as an independent, self-employed professional under a formal independent contractor agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce control system design drawings and models using Revit.
  • Support the design of building automation and control systems for HVAC and related systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with layout, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel designs for control systems. ⁠Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to ensure integrated and consistent design delivery.
  • Contribute to low-voltage system design efforts, including controls, fire alarm, and related systems as needed. ⁠Update and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project standards.
  • Support design reviews by incorporating feedback and making necessary revisions.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform on high-profile, hyperscale, and AI data center projects in a rapidly expanding industry.
  • Collaborate with leading professionals and global clients such as Microsoft, Oracle, Uber, and Amazon.
  • Collaborate with Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O'Brien, and help us achieve our international engineering goals!

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in controls design, building systems, or extra low-voltage systems. ⁠Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required - not less than 1 year of constant using.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow technical direction.

Nice to have

  • & Experience: A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, is preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
