About the role
- Seaport Entertainment Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal to join our New York office, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary.
- The ideal candidate will bring strong experience from an in-house legal department or law firm, with a focus on corporate governance, legal entity management, and SEC compliance.
- Assist with SEC and other regulatory filings
Responsibilities
- Manage legal entity records, organizational charts, and franchise tax payments in coordination with CSC
- Partner with cross-functional teams across SEG on legal and business initiative s
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree required
- paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
- 8+ years of experience in a legal department (in-house or law firm)
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, legal entity management, and SEC compliance
- Familiarity with legal terminology and commercial contract structures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Diligent board management software
- Experience with Broadridge, Computershare, and DTCC preferred
- Support administrative insurance claims management (preferred, not required ), coordinating with claims representatives and tracking matters to resolution
Skills
- Excellent communication, drafting, and organizational skills
Compensation
- range: $105,000 - $1 50,000 per year
