Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering team in developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient systems to support Luna Joy's growing platform.
  • Architect and design software solutions that meet business needs, ensuring the highest quality standards in code and system architecture.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Operations teams to define technical requirements and provide input on project planning and timelines.
  • Review and optimize existing codebases, improving performance, scalability, and security.
  • Manage the full software development life cycle, from concept and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Participate in high-level decision-making regarding technology strategies, tools, and processes to optimize the development workflow.

  • As the Lead Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing Luna Joy's technology infrastructure.
  • You will lead a team of engineers to ensure that our systems are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Additionally, you will create a positive work environment by encouraging collaboration, mentoring junior engineers, and embodying Luna Joy's core values in your daily work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior engineering role.
  • Strong expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Ruby, etc.).
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable architecture for high-traffic web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of mentoring and managing engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant software development and data security best practices.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) is a plus.

Compensation

  • Up to $2,000 - $2,500 per month, based on location, experience, qualifications, and applicable federal and state minimum wage requirements.
