Responsibilities
- Lead the Voter Protection Team's programmatic efforts, planning, and overseeing the team's work for the 2026 election cycle and managing the staff member(s).
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the Voter Protection Team's work and support the work of other departments.
- Build a statewide voter protection and regional level voter protection program that covers Early Voting, vote-by-mail and Election Day.
- Build proactive contingency plans for potential voting disruptions, legal challenges, or election emergencies.
- Manage the Voter Protection team, supporting individual staff members in their day-to-day work and their professional development, guiding and connecting the team's various work streams, and providing constructive feedback on plans and work product.
- Track legislative and litigation developments related to voting and election law and collaborate with the Party's legal counsel on how to address those developments.
- Identify election administration and voting problems through collaboration with County Chairs, external stakeholders, hotline reports, news reports, and other sources to develop a coordinated response within the Party.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteer poll monitors, voter assistance volunteers, hotline staff, and poll observers.
- Build training materials, scripts, and reporting protocols.
- Maintain communication with field organizers and regional leadership.

- Preferred Organizing experience - The candidate has a track record of success in recruiting, training and managing volunteers, and escalating volunteers into leadership roles.
