About the role

  • This position is located in Flagstaff Area National Monuments, in the Division of Resource Stewardship and Science.
  • Agreements Technical Representative certification within 6 months of Entrance on Duty.

Responsibilities

  • Methods include, but are not limited to, typology, classification, sampling, cultural evolution, diffusion, dating, and analytical techniques; Archeological field school, to provide a basic understanding of theoretical and practical approaches to research design implementation, field preservation techniques, and report preparation by participation in actual field work.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Contracting Officer's Representative Level 1 certification within 1 year of Entrance on Duty.
  • Applicants must be at least (1)18 years old or (2) at least 16 years old and:
  • All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-08/06/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
  • I have a degree that included 3 semester hours in each of the following course areas: History of archeology
