About the role

  • Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant is a key contributor within JRM's Accounting Department, playing an integral role in the Company's financial close, reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Actively maintain and review General Ledger accounts and activity, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.

  • Excellent computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office product applications (ex.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

  • To the extent this role is performed in New York City, the annual salary range is $95,000 - $120,000.

Nice to have

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated workpapers, including review and analysis of the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and record journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist in month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Assist with preparation of accruals and work-in-progress schedule.
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated comparative financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Assist with sales and use tax compliance across multiple states and jurisdictions, including preparation, filing, and payment of returns.
  • Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and financial analysis.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to accounting workflows, policies and internal controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.

Compensation

  • To the extent this role is performed in New York City, the annual salary range is $95,000 - $120,000.
