About the role
- Establishes key elements of tactical and operational plans with direct impact towards the achievement of results, with a focus on short to medium-term time horizons.
- Responsible for managing and monitoring cell performance and productivity, with focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership coaching and development for front-line supervisors and production team leads.
- Disciplined execution of the daily Lean management system, including Tiered accountability meetings, visual management systems, and leader standard work. Drive accountability to daily results and rapid corrective actions to overcome misses.
- Drives implementation and standardization of best practices through standard work aligned with the TWI model.
- Drives development of a strong problem-solving culture, through application of CORE methods and coaching behaviors.
- Works with the planning and logistics teams to optimize scheduling and materials flow to support manufacturing operations, decreasing WIP while improving delivery.
- Learn to lead a team in a facility that utilizes multiple production models to execute customer orders. These include rate based, mixed model and discrete manufacturing lines.
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- 4+ years of prior leadership experience in manufacturing or operations
- 2+ years experience working within a QMS (AS9100, ISO 9001 or equivalent)
- None/Not Required Security Clearance Status:
Nice to have
- Lean or six sigma certifications
- Manufacturing in AS9100 controlled environments.
- Experience in wire harness manufacturing.
- Specifically, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or IPC J-Std-001 certifications
