About the role

Vercel is hiring a Head of Developer Community to evolve and scale our developer ecosystem strategy within the Marketing organization.
This is a strategic, externally facing role focused on strengthening Vercel's influence across the modern web ecosystem.
If you're based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NYC, or Austin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

Own and evolve Vercel's Developer-Facing programs, refining sponsorship frameworks, strengthening maintainer relationships, and increasing the programs' visibility and measurable impact across the ecosystem.
Define and lead Vercel's developer ecosystem strategy, identifying priority focus areas, building high-leverage partnerships, and positioning Vercel at the center of the modern web.
Own global conference and sponsorship strategy, determining where and how Vercel shows up, representing the company at flagship events, and establishing clear ROI for ecosystem investments.
Drive cross-functional alignment, partnering with Developer Experience, Community, Product Marketing, and Brand to translate ecosystem strategy into scalable activation.

6+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Marketing, OSS leadership, or ecosystem strategy
with 1+ year of team management experience
Experience owning or scaling an existing open source or ecosystem program.
Experience managing sponsorship investments and evaluating ROI.
Proven conference speaking experience at high-visibility developer events.
Ability to connect ecosystem initiatives to measurable marketing and business impact.

The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $200,000 - $300,000.
