About the role
- Schedule: 4x4 rotation consisting of 12-hour day and night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Company-owned rental units available to new hires for short-term transition support (subject to availability)
- Haul Truck/Mine Equipment Operators are responsible for safely operating haul trucks to transport coal or rock, as well as providing operational support in an open pit coal mine.
- EVR provides structured internal training to support new employees and create opportunities for long-term career growth in the mining sector.
- To support relocation, EVR offers several temporary housing resources:
- EVR rental units: Company-owned rental units available to new hires for short-term transition support (subject to availability)
- Community rental list: EVR maintains a list of community-owned rental accommodations that we can provide to assist with your housing search
Requirements
- Experience operating heavy or agricultural machinery (e.g., forklift, skid steer, loader, tractor, combine) is an asset
- Experience in hands-on, safety-focused work environments such as industrial, construction, farming, forestry, or other fast-paced, production-driven settings is an asset
- Experience using two-way radio communication and following structured procedures
- Candidates must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the Sparwood, B.C. area.
