About the role
- The Instructor, Florida Scholars Academy (FSA) provides an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to reach their full educational potential.
- The Instructor, Florida Scholars Academy exhibits a passion for, and dedication to, the remediation, acceleration, and academic growth of at-risk students.
- This position is responsible for teaching assigned academic subjects in residential facilities for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice students.
Responsibilities
- Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders measured by district/school survey results.
- Support any other academic related topic established at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools, Florida Scholars Academy, Regional Director, Florida Scholars Academy, or Instructional Leader, Florida Scholars Academy.
Requirements
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
- Gifted Endorsement, preferred
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Endorsement, preferred
- Reading Endorsement, preferred

- $59,850/annual
