DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations (DTPS), located in Pineville, LA, is looking for a Contracts Specialist to join our team.

Help maintain priorities that are set to meet the Proposal Team's contracting strategies and proposal schedules.
Implements and manages contract management system, processes, procedures and database.
Works with DTPS leadership and team members to develop long-term relationships for the advancement of its businesses.
Manage the DTPS record retention policy
Must fully comprehend the company's strategies on risk with the ability to implement and execute these strategies through best practices and operating standards.
Must maintain a good working knowledge of compliance requirements with applicable U.S., state, local and international laws, and regulations.
Customer Focus / Building Relationships
Ability to work independently and proactively, manage competing priorities and deadlines, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of issues and matters through their successful conclusion.

The Contracts Specialist must be fully aligned with the industry and operations of the business unit and have a thorough understanding of the corporate guidelines.

Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or engineering preferred.
Experience with contract review and negotiations required.
5+ years' experience with project contracts, bid preparation, or execution of projects.
Project experience and knowledge in the administration of contracts, as well as an understanding of scheduling and project strategy.
Experience with contract lifecycle management programs a plus.
Must have superior analytical and strategic thinking skills, communication ability (verbal and written), organizational and coordination skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Share the company's purpose and values, including high ethical standards, teamwork, customer service mindset, and positive attitude
