About the role
- Provide overall leadership for on-site field administration/supervision and technical management for all construction operations, including direct supervision of foreman, subcontractors, and other construction related personnel.
- Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and executing work on time, within budget, attaining or exceeding profit goals, adhering to safety standards (company and regional) and promoting and enhancing client relationships.
Responsibilities
- The Superintendent is responsible to plan/manage/build construction projects and oversee progress from start to completion in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents, project plans and specifications to be able to plan ahead and anticipate potential problems before they arise.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage jobsite logistics, in coordination with Project Manager.
- Attend and Participate in Project Walk-throughs with Design team to address specific issues and communicate discussion/ resolution to PM for record.
- Manage schedules, including preparation of two-week look ahead and any other applicable schedules.
- Maintain inspection records.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of field knowledge/related work experience
- Proven working experience in construction field
- Experience in Out of Ground, Site, Civil Construction
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and understand prints, manuals, contract requirements, and general industry best practices
- Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Familiarity with construction management software packages such as Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Procore, preferred.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management. Leadership skills

- Certifications and/or Licenses
- OSHA 30 Certification
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- ASHE Certification

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings.
- Coordinate project mobilization, demobilization and equipment needs with accounting.
- Prepare and submit Superintendent's Daily Reports, toolbox talks and distribute appropriately.
- Ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
