About the role
- A Driving Instructor at Capabilities works with individuals with and without disabilities age 16+ to help them learn the skills necessary to get their learner's permit and/or driver's license.
- Imagine this: The door to the BMV opens and a newly licensed driver that you helped runs toward you with a big smile on their face… they passed!
- You just helped open a door to a world of new opportunities for them.
Responsibilities
- You get to work one-on-one with people to teach traffic laws, signs, responsibility, safety, and build confidence while they are on-the-road.
- When they are ready to test, you accompany them to the testing site to support them and celebrate their achievements.
Requirements
- Ability to type 25 words per minute and navigate a company-issued laptop.
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening (a list of the disqualifying offenses can be provided if needed).
