About the role
- Technical Leadership, Mentorship, and Improving the TEECOM System - As a Principal, Senior Consultant, your impact comes from the strength of your leadership and your ability to elevate the people, systems, and practices around you.
- Supervisory / Mentorship / Training Responsibilities - Supervisory: When serving as a Mentor, you provide structured coaching and performance input for assigned mentees.
Responsibilities
- You identify risks, cross-project dependencies, and resourcing trends and collaborate with Group Leads and Team Leads to inform workload planning and delivery strategy.
- You coach through complex technical and coordination challenges, reinforce accountability to standards, and develop others' judgment and decision-making.
- You lead design reviews, author and refine documentation, and elevate technical and documentation quality across the discipline through structured, repeatable training and coaching.
- You shape complex technical decisions and set a high bar for design quality, coordination, and documentation across multiple projects or client accounts.
- You strengthen TEECOM's technical bench by providing advanced coaching that builds the skills, confidence, and judgment of engineers and production staff across groups.
- You expand mentees' exposure by bringing them into client conversations, design reviews, and high-stakes decision-making.
- You document discipline-wide guidance, client-specific processes, and best practices that strengthen onboarding, delegation, and alignment.
- You deliver complex, multi-discipline projects profitably, within scope, and to TEECOM's quality standards, producing coordinated and well-documented designs.
- You maintain healthy utilization and financial performance in line with firmwide targets.
- You document clearly and consistently to reduce rework, prevent misalignment, and help teams move quickly with shared understanding.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in AEC or related professional services with demonstrated discipline-specific leadership. (Telecom/ICT, Structured Cabling, Low Voltage)
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience
- advanced degree (MS or MBA) a plus.
