About the role
- We're looking for a Software Engineer to join as one of our earliest engineering hires.
- This is a high-impact role where you'll ship production code from day one, learn fast, and grow alongside the company.
- Ship your first PR to production (on the first day) - no months of onboarding, you're contributing from day one
Responsibilities
- Own a feature end-to-end - from scoping to shipping - that directly improves how our AI agents handle customer conversations
- Optimize live systems handling real insurance workflows for major carriers
- Start building intuition for the insurance domain and understand why this $1T+ industry is ripe for AI
- Take ownership of a core product area and drive meaningful improvements independently
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Experience building software in internships, coursework, or personal projects
- You'll work across the stack to build the core systems that power our AI agents - from real-time voice infrastructure to integrations with insurance platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Comfort working across the stack - we use TypeScript, React, and Node.js
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time systems, WebSockets, or telephony
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-based platforms or prompt engineering
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup
- Contributions to open source projects
