Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform a broad range of maintenance and repair activities to ensure the hospital environment is safe, functional, and visually well-maintained.
- Conduct routine inspections of patient care areas, public spaces, and support spaces to identify deficiencies in finishes, fixtures, and overall condition.
- Maintain doors, door hardware, locks, and access points to ensure functionality and safety.
- Manage signage and wayfinding elements to ensure consistency, clarity, and professional presentation.
- Support departmental moves, space reconfigurations, and unit refresh initiatives.
- Building Systems Maintenance & Operations
- Develop, implement, and monitor inspection, testing and preventive maintenance programs for both systems and general building components.
- Utilize CMMS to manage, prioritize, and track work orders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-7 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or plant operations.
- Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
- Education
- Experience
- Healthcare or hospital experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in both technical systems and general maintenance
- Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of building systems and general maintenance trades.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Nice to have
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Facilities Management, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
Skills
- Familiarity with CMMS systems.
- Working knowledge of infection control practices in healthcare environments.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Licenses & Certifications
- Preferred certifications:
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Medical Gas Certification (preferred)
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM)

Compensation
- The base pay scale for this position is $109,000.00 - $166,000.00.
- The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.
