About the role

  • The SCP Technician aids in administrative oversight, visioning, coordinating and management of the State Capitol Park as defined under state statute, Title 74 § 1811.4.
  • This includes ensuring that contracted services are being provided with the mission of providing curb appeal that can endure over a long period of time at the lowest responsible cost.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections and upkeep of park grounds.
  • Install and maintain landscapes. Digging, planting, pruning
  • Operate and maintain park maintenance equipment, including a small fleet of autonomous lawn mowers.
  • Install, repair, and maintain park irrigation systems.
  • Install and maintain landscapes. Digging, planting, pruning; performing tasks to ensure outdoor areas are attractive, tidy, and safe.
  • Support the Capital Assets Management Division.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations, read and interpret sketches and diagrams, computer work including managing tasks and work orders in CMMS/WMS, communicate and coordinate via email, etc.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Compensation

  • Up to $50,000.00 based on education and experience.
