Responsibilities
- further include being a partner in the wound/skin/ostomy care team, providing coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families within a continuum of care, and delegating patient activities as appropriate.
- Join our team that supports wound/skin and ostomy care throughout the inpatient hospital setting.
Requirements
- 8 hour shifts with some required Monday and Fridays but must have some flexibility with work hours to meet patient care needs.
- License RN-Registered Nurse (30) - State of Wisconsin. required
- Note: If not currently certified, Wound and Ostomy nurse certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Knowledge of the principles of neonatal, pediatric and adolescent growth and development and child/family responses to fear, illness, injury and hospitalization.
- Ability to delegate patient care activities effectively to unlicensed staff as appropriate and where indicated.
- The ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the organization and its services.
Nice to have
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's Degree BSN preferred
- 2+ years nursing experience required
- 3-4 years nursing experience in pediatric nursing preferred
- Wound and Ostomy certification through the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society preferred*
- American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required
- License RN-Registered Nurse (30)
- State of Wisconsin. required
