About the role
- Microchip Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our Quality Team as a key contributor to product quality, process integrity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Resolve quality issues, lead corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Support new supplier onboarding and AS9102 First Article Inspections.
- Deliver training to staff and promote a quality-focused culture.
- Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales.
- Maintain technical competence and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform additional quality engineering tasks as needed.

Requirements
- US Citizenship Required - ITAR Site.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must be familiar with ISO9001 requirements.
Compensation
- We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
- It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments.
- The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $75,000 - $232,000.*
