About the role
- This is a remote, full-time, non-exempt position, eligible for overtime pay per California labor law.
- Assist field case managers in coordinating care, scheduling appointments, and monitoring treatment progress.
- Shadow experienced field case managers during provider visits, independent medical examinations, andreturn-to-work planning sessions.
Responsibilities
- Document case activity, communications, and treatment updates under supervision.
- Support case managers with preparing reports, correspondence, and treatment summaries.
- Develop skills in patient advocacy, provider communication, and employer/insurer collaboration.
- The Associate Nurse Case Manager is an entry-level position designed for Registered Nurses beginning a career in workers' compensation case management.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (required).
- Must be physically located in California
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
- Proficiency with Windows-based platforms and Microsoft Word (required).
- Ability to produce grammatically correct, thorough, and professional reports (required).
- Ability to work independently in the field and from home.
- ability to travel regionally within assigned area.
Nice to have
- Case management certification (CCM, COHN, CPDM)
- Bilingual in Spanish or Tagalog (preferred).
- Preferred: Case management certification (CCM, COHN, CPDM)
