About the role
- Responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of new and renewal account, ensuring informed risk selection and pricing decisions in alignment with profitability goals and underwriting guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide service excellence to agency partners, adhering to established service standards to support agency relationships and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key agency contacts to enable successful negotiation and ensure successful account acquisition and retention.
- Maintain organized and thorough underwriting documentation in accordance with Amerisure's standards and guidelines. Utilize underwriting tools to effectively support risk assessment and decision-making.
- Cultivates relationships with agency partners to support successful negotiations, drive new business growth, and maintain portfolio quality.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
- 3 or more years underwriting experience in commercial middle market insurance with exposure to large and complex accounts.
- Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
