About the role
- We are looking for a Staff System Engineer who will work hand in hand with all the engineering teams and field applications team to improve our LiDAR systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments, as well as collect data to validate the performance and capabilities of LiDAR products under various environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to drive continuous performance improvements, address technical inquiries, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide timely customer support and troubleshoot LiDAR integration issues encountered in the field.
Nice to have
- Become an expert on our LiDAR products, optimizing their performance for diverse and specific use cases.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to help shape product development, feature enhancements, and strategic decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline, with at least 8 years of experience working with LiDAR or other sensors
- OR Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience
- OR PhD degree with at least 3 years of experience.
- Broad knowledge, skills, and experience across multiple domains, including but not limited to hardware, software, simulation, and programming to solve complex problems in a sophisticated LiDAR system.
- Proficiency in LightTools, Zemax or Code V.
- Experience of COMSOL Multiphysics or Ansys Lumerical is welcome.
