About the role

  • Today, BAM employs more than 160 portfolio managers and 1,200 investment professionals across 19 offices in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
  • We also have a dedicated private investment team, BAM Elevate, and a standalone equities unit, Corbets Capital.
  • As a C# Engineer on our Account Technology team, you will be responsible for playing a key role in designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining the firm's critical back office systems.

  • Innovate and Enhance: Design and improve multithreaded, 3-tier back-office systems.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced setting, balancing second-line support with strategic development responsibilities.
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with engineers in the UK, US, and Hong Kong to deliver robust solutions.

Skills

  • o Proven experience in building connected, service-oriented applications.
  • o Familiarity with enterprise messaging systems(Kafka/Solace).
  • o Experience with Database Systems (Microsoft SQL/Postgres/ Snowflake)
  • o Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc)
  • o Experience with distributed caching like Redis.
  • o Experience with Event Driven architecture.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to various audiences.
  • DevOps Knowledge: Experience with JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and Octopus Deploy.
  • Agile Development: Familiarity with Agile software development concepts.
  • Test-Driven Development: Experience with behavior and test-driven development.
  • Financial Markets: Familiarity with different product types across Equity, Fixed Income, and Commodity markets.
  • Post-Trade Lifecycle: Insight into the post-trade lifecycle processes.
