About the role
- The position is responsible for operating surveying instruments and supports the Party Chief in conducting more advanced land surveying tasks.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, inspect, and maintain survey equipment.
- Perform minor field calculations and spatial data analysis.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in land surveying or a related role.
- Working knowledge of land surveying procedures and relevant equipment.
- Ability to address basic field issues and escalate more complex problems appropriately.
- Physical ability to lift and carry survey equipment up to 35 lbs. and work in various terrains and weather conditions.
- High school diploma or GED certification.
- Proficient in operating and obtaining land survey data using advanced surveying instruments.
- Ability to perform and analyze technical calculations independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and capable of occasional leadership within the field crew.
