About the role
- The Security Manager, Cha if etz Arena is r esponsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and leading all security functions for the arena.
- This position wear s the rank of Lieutenant and is considered part of the department administrative/command team.
- Reviews and approves security reports for all staffed events
Responsibilities
- Leads all security operations for Chaifetz Arena to include staff, planning, training, response, and assessment
- Assesses security needs and develop appropriate plans to ensure safety of staff and guests
- Develops and maintain s security policies for DPS arena security staffing
- Develops, implements, and manages training program for all DPS arena security staff
- Liaises with a rena management, SLU athletics, and other arena vendors or clients in the course of planning and program support
- Directly leads no less than 50% of events occurring at Chaifetz Arena
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- B achelor's degree
- Louis City/County Police Watchman's Division ( l icense must be maintained throughout tenure )
Nice to have
- Previous experience leading security operations in large public assembly facilities / sports & live entertainment venues is highly desirable
- Previous experience evaluating and managing physical security systems, such as security cameras, electronic access control devices, and credentialing systems is desired
- Certified Trained Crowd Manager (TCM) is a plus
