About the role

  • The Security Manager, Cha if etz Arena is r esponsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and leading all security functions for the arena.
  • This position wear s the rank of Lieutenant and is considered part of the department administrative/command team.
  • Reviews and approves security reports for all staffed events

Responsibilities

  • Leads all security operations for Chaifetz Arena to include staff, planning, training, response, and assessment
  • Assesses security needs and develop appropriate plans to ensure safety of staff and guests
  • Develops and maintain s security policies for DPS arena security staffing
  • Develops, implements, and manages training program for all DPS arena security staff
  • Liaises with a rena management, SLU athletics, and other arena vendors or clients in the course of planning and program support
  • Directly leads no less than 50% of events occurring at Chaifetz Arena
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • B achelor's degree
  • Louis City/County Police Watchman's Division ( l icense must be maintained throughout tenure )

Nice to have

  • Previous experience leading security operations in large public assembly facilities / sports & live entertainment venues is highly desirable
  • Previous experience evaluating and managing physical security systems, such as security cameras, electronic access control devices, and credentialing systems is desired
  • Certified Trained Crowd Manager (TCM) is a plus
