About the role

  • JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company.
  • The Operations Manager will be responsible for all operational services, including but not limited to Imports/Exports via Air/Ocean movement, and could include warehousing, and customs brokerage oversight.
  • This role is responsible for supporting branch operational excellence, product initiatives, while driving operational, financial, and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Branch Workflow initiative adherence using PowerBI dashboard to enhance staff productivity.
  • Ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff to develop skills to the highest level.
  • Work closely with operations, sales, warehousing, and sales support teams to achieve the target budget.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Freight Forwarding operations experience.
  • Must have a firm working knowledge/experience handing air/ocean imports and exports.
  • Travel will be (up to __ %) required in support of the position's responsibilities.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of Freight Forwarding operations experience, handling air/ocean product, warehousing, and customs brokerage.
  • 5+ years of prior supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Highly motivated leader who is adept at working in a competitive, challenging and fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have advanced proficiency language (written and speaking).
  • This role is for our Government & Defense Branch, so experience in the G&D space is a plus.
  • CargoWise (C1) experience is a plus.
  • Customs Brokerage experience is a plus.
