About the role
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure inspection processes align with customer and internal quality standards.
- Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain supplier quality records and report non-conformances.
- Support supplier performance tracking and corrective actions.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Perform inspections at critical control points throughout production.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, chemicals, and metal materials.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required depending on specific tasks or work areas.
- Proven experience as a quality inspector or in a relevant role.
- Utilize manual and automated inspection equipment as required.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in Quality Control, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality inspection or related field required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in high-tech, semiconductor, aerospace, or precision fabrication environments is a plus.
Skills
- Familiarity with basic and advanced quality testing machines and systems.
- Proficient in the use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (required)
- Understanding of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with data tracking and basic analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Verify inspection tools and equipment are calibrated, maintained, and safe to use.
- Frequent use of hands for handling tools, parts, and inspection equipment
