Responsibilities
- Coordinates with Production leadership to develop and execute production schedules that support on-time customer delivery.
- Ensures accurate job sequencing to optimize efficiency and minimize lead times.
- Maintains accurate production schedules and planning data within the ERP/MRP system.
- Assists in estimating manufacturing times for assemblies and supports continuous improvement efforts to improve production flow and reduce cycle times.
- Promotes standardized planning processes and supports Lean Manufacturing initiatives within the department.
- Trains, coaches, and develops planning team members while fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and the ability to develop into higher levels of leadership within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems; exposure to S&OP processes or planning systems is preferred but not required.
