About the role

This role is responsible for driving execution in the field, managing crews, subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader with strong sitework or heavy civil experience, a proven track record of managing complex projects, and the ability to enforce standards while maintaining productivity and safety.
This is a critical leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes ownership of field performance from start to finish.

Manage all daily construction operations on assigned projects.
Develop and execute project work plans, sequencing, and logistics.
Lead field crews and subcontractors to achieve productivity targets.
Interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure proper execution.
Identify risks proactively and implement corrective actions immediately.
Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and maintain project schedules.
Monitor progress and adjust resources to maintain or improve schedule performance.
Maintain accurate field documentation including daily reports, logs, and photos.
Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Support public relations efforts on projects impacting traffic or communities.

Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, and logistics.
Proficiency in cost-control systems and construction-management software.
Experience working on public contracts (1-3 years)
Experience with creating/managing schedules (1-3 years)
