Responsibilities

  • The project will develop novel, high-resolution, three-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to depict and detect abnormalities of the occipital nerves that may be responsible for migraine headaches.
  • Imaging the occipital nerves to assess occipital neuralgia (NIH-funded): The project will develop novel, high-resolution, three-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to depict and detect abnormalities of the occipital nerves that may be responsible for migraine headaches.
  • Recruit volunteer and patient subjects for MRI scans: consent subjects, maintain project databases, help oversee scanning, accompany subjects during scanning, communicate with recruitment sites and with patients before and after study visits.
  • Work directly with radiologists, biomedical scientists and engineers to maintain and perform processing of advanced MRI pipelines and extract meaningful imaging features to correlation with clinical data.
  • Assist with literature reviews, perform analysis, and assist with scientific writing for manuscript preparation and conference presentation.
  • Excellent organization skills (ability to manage several concurrent tasks).

Compensation

  • The base pay scale for this position is $23.35 - $35.51.
  • The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.
  • The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
