About the role

- General Summary: This position is the primary staff member responsible for the Bookstore operations at the Canyon campus.
Responsibilities
- Generate and deliver a monthly cash count of petty/operating cash, assuring accuracy and no loss of funds.

Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience handling money, inventory restocking, and customer service.
- Detail orientation with an ability to multitask.
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Dependable, independent working skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to function in stressful situations during peak customer traffic with excellent customer service skills in dealing with customers, students, faculty, and staff.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree.
- Retail experience, merchandise supervisor, and college bookstore experience.
- Retail sales analysis and computer skills.

- This position is the primary staff member responsible for the Bookstore operations at the Canyon campus.
- This position is responsible for opening and closing the store, assisting customers with merchandise selections, returns/exchanges, balancing and preparing the daily sales deposit.
- This position will also serve as a strong interface with the General Merchandise Buyer for the direction of merchandise inventory at this location, and be responsible for stocking and merchandising of product.
- Provide customer service and support to customers, assisting in locating items needed.
- Provide diligence in monitoring customers, assisting in loss prevention efforts.
