About the role
- We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join Client's Asset Management Technology team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable data engineering solutions and data pipelines.
- Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code, SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Build and maintain ETL processes using Informatica and related technologies.
- Design and implement data models, including transactional systems, data marts, and data warehouses.
- Analyze data, identify issues and patterns, and implement innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support DevOps and CI/CD practices using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Docker.
- In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support investment management, trading, research, and operations functions.
- You will work with large-scale data platforms and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data engineering solutions for critical business applications.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or other modern data warehouse technologies.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling, data marts, and enterprise data warehouses.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
- Experience within Financial Services, Asset Management, Banking, or Investment Management environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with Java development.
- Exposure to Python scripting and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, and Docker.
