About the role
- The Hotel Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic standards of 12 Hotels & Residences, a luxury property in the Marriott Autograph Collection.
- This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hotel systems and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and team members.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain the property's physical appearance, including touch-up painting, carpentry, lighting, and general upkeep.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve building system malfunctions.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe, clean, and functional manner.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance requests, completed work, and inspections.
- Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors as necessary.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED required
- technical certification or trade school training preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel or facility maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of Marriott maintenance protocols a plus (training provided if not experienced).
