About the role
- We are looking for an experienced Simulation Software Engineer to join our talented and rapidly growing engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reliable simulation software.
- Develop and maintain the infrastructure used to configure and execute simulations.
- Work with simulation software users to develop new features and models, and to improve user experience.
- Collaborate with compiler engineers, frontend engineers, and product teams to integrate simulation into the broader Revel ecosystem.
- You will own complex engineering challenges and drive the quality and direction of our simulation platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Rust.
- Proficiency in modern software engineering practices, including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of physics and applied mathematics, including thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.
- Proficiency in modern web application design and best practices.
- Knowledge of numerical methods, differential equations, and integrators used in physical system simulation and modeling.
- Knowledge of safety-critical or mission-critical software development processes.
