About the role

The Middle School English Intervention Teacher plays a vital role in supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally to help them stay engaged and on track to graduate.
This is position funded through Title I funds.
Employment is contingent upon the yearly categorical a location from Marion County School District.

Academic Support & Intervention Identify students in need of additional academic support through data analysis and staff collaboration.
Provide one-on-one and small-group interventions to reinforce key concepts, close skill gaps, and build confidence.
Student Engagement & Retention Serve as a mentor and advocate for assigned students, building trusting relationships to encourage persistence.
Implement incentive programs and engagement strategies to improve student motivation.
Collaboration & Advocacy Partner with teachers, Grade Coaches, and academy staff to create a seamless support system.
Engage with families, community organizations, and support networks to foster student success beyond the classroom.
2+ years working with at-risk youth, academic intervention, or student support services.

Certification: Florida educator's license with a secondary English or Reading endorsement required.

An 6-12 English and/or Reading endorsement is Required for this position.
