About the role
- The Middle School English Intervention Teacher plays a vital role in supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally to help them stay engaged and on track to graduate.
- This is position funded through Title I funds.
- Employment is contingent upon the yearly categorical a location from Marion County School District.
Responsibilities
- Academic Support & Intervention Identify students in need of additional academic support through data analysis and staff collaboration.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group interventions to reinforce key concepts, close skill gaps, and build confidence.
- Student Engagement & Retention Serve as a mentor and advocate for assigned students, building trusting relationships to encourage persistence.
- Implement incentive programs and engagement strategies to improve student motivation.
- Collaboration & Advocacy Partner with teachers, Grade Coaches, and academy staff to create a seamless support system.
- Engage with families, community organizations, and support networks to foster student success beyond the classroom.
- 2+ years working with at-risk youth, academic intervention, or student support services.

Requirements
- Certification: Florida educator's license with a secondary English or Reading endorsement required.
- Florida educator's license with a secondary English or Reading endorsement required.
- An 6-12 English and/or Reading endorsement is Required for this position.
