About the role

  • The Claims Adjuster, Property & General Liability is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving both property damage and general liability claims on behalf of OneSource Claims Management, a Venbrook Claims brand.
  • OneSource Claims Management is a Venbrook Claims brand and part of Venbrook Group, LLC, a holding company with subsidiaries engaged in retail broking, wholesale broking, programs, and claims services.
  • Venbrook Claims brings together decades of specialized expertise by integrating respected legacy claims brands, Carl Warren & Company, DMA Claims, and OneSource Claims Management.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains accurate reserves throughout the claims lifecycle in accordance with applicable guidelines.
  • Develops and executes resolution strategies with clear file notes reflecting focus, control, and momentum.
  • Identifies and manages vendors, including independent adjusters, contractors, engineers, and defense counsel, to achieve quality outcomes on both expense and indemnity.
  • Maintains timely diary management and accurate documentation of all claim activity and decision-making.
  • Participates in team meetings, training sessions, and process improvement initiatives to support a growing and evolving claims operation.

Requirements

  • Conducts or coordinates field inspections, property assessments, and damage estimates for property claims as required.
  • Prepares claim status reports and presents file summaries in client review settings as required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
  • equivalent experience considered
  • Insurance designation (e.g., AIC, AIM, CPCU) or active pursuit of designation preferred
  • Active adjuster license required
  • specific state licensing requirements will vary based on clients assigned

Skills

  • Demonstrates active listening and the ability to convey complex coverage and liability positions concisely.
  • Working knowledge of property damage valuation, coverage analysis, and claims investigation techniques
  • Familiarity with tort liability principles and general liability claims handling methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and claims management systems
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Receptive to coaching and committed to professional growth in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to function effectively in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Some travel may be required for field assignments, mediations, or client meetings

Compensation

  • $70k-$90k
