About the role

  • Sinopec Canada is a wholly - owned subsidiary of a major International upstream oil and gas company, Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation (SIPC) headquartered in Beijing, China.
  • Primary Purpose of Position Reporting to the Area Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities for your assigned field production facility.
  • You will be responsible for various tasks as outlined below.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain reliable, safe, and efficient day-to-day operations of wells and production facilities and comply with Sinopec's safety procedures.
  • Support MOC process on projects.
  • Maintain complete and accurate logs for the use of company vehicles.
  • Documentation is necessary to manage the safety, OPEX, and compliance duties associated with the position.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in a sour/sweet plant/field experience is required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Maximize production and ensure the reliability of producing wells, performing tests as required.
  • Record required data from meter and instrumentation.
  • Act as the backup safety or rescue person when required.
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a sour/sweet plant/field experience is required. Sour gas experience preferred.
  • Up to date certification in TDG, H2S, WHMIS, First Aid, and other applicable safety tickets.
  • Physical capabilities include lifting or carrying > 40lbs, standing or walking for sustained periods and sitting/driving for longer periods.
  • Hold a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License.
