About the role
- Provides clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an ambulatory setting under the direction of the physician, Advanced practice provider, or physician resident.
- Demonstrates clinical competency utilizing evidence based practices/research in all areas of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and outcomes.
- Incorporates knowledge of safety protocols, cost containment and quality improvement throughout the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patients' needs and applies current ambulatory care nursing knowledge and evidence-based nursing practice when developing an individualized plan of care for each patient.
- Coordinates, and documents patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner.
- Educates patients and families to appropriately perform any recommended post-visit self-care tasks.

- Completes annual and as needed compliance training.
