- In this role, the Field Engineer Apprentice will observe and perform various equipment service processes and procedures to drive customer satisfaction and ensure proper functionality of less complex customer diagnostic imaging equipment.
- This one-year apprenticeship is designed to prepare candidates for long‑term career in field service.
- The apprenticeship will be scheduled to align with the anticipated availability of an internal position to support continuity of employment following program completion.
- Work within hospital radiology environment to evaluate and troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs.
- Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
- Previous experience interpreting schematic diagrams and perform effective repair and planned maintenance on basic biomedical or electronic equipment.
- Ability to develop and maintain good customer relations.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level

Compensation
- For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $48,000 - $72,000.

- Apprentices must be flexible to support customer needs, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or adjusted hours based on service or customer requirements.
- AS, BS, MS degree, military education, certificate program, current student with less than 12 months from completion OR High School Diploma/GED with 6 months experience servicing electronic, IT or mechanical equipment.
- Field roles are most effectively performed outside of GE HealthCare facilities and generally take place at customer locations, including hospitals and healthcare environments.
