Responsibilities
- Design and Own SCADA Architecture
- Design and review SCADA system architectures for large-scale energy facilities operating in ERCOT and other ISOs.
- Lead Plant Controls Integration
- Develop and troubleshoot SCADA-integrated control logic, including PPC interfaces, active and reactive dispatch, Volt/VAR optimization, and frequency response.
- Drive Grid Compliance and Commissioning Excellence
- Own ERCOT nodal protocol implementation, telemetry standards, and performance validation processes.
- Partner with ERCOT, TSPs, OEMs, and vendors to ensure seamless telemetry and control system integration.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve control system challenges.
- Build strong working relationships with ERCOT stakeholders, TSPs, OEMs, EPCs, and SCADA vendors.
- Demonstrated expertise in SCADA system architecture design and review for utility-scale facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in utility-scale power generation, independent power production, or clean energy infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Power Plant Controller integration, dispatch logic, Volt/VAR optimization, and frequency response controls.
Compensation
