About the role

  • Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including review of customer contracts, amendments, and complex arrangements; ensure appropriate accounting treatment and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage revenue-related close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of management and external reporting.
  • Partner with FP&A and business leaders to support revenue forecasting, budgeting, and tracking of specialty-level KPIs such as ARR, churn, and net revenue retention.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership & Deal Support
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Deal Desk on deal structuring, pricing changes, and contract reviews to ensure revenue accuracy and compliance.
  • Mentor, and review the work of revenue accountants and analysts; set priorities, provide feedback, and support career development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors on revenue matters; maintain and enhance internal controls and SOX compliance where applicable.
  • Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes, and reporting; support M&A, system implementations, and other strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum: 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with revenue exposure

Nice to have

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically ASC 606
  • Experience with NetSuite and BI/forecasting tools (preferred)
  • Proven leadership and cross-functional influence
  • Active CPA license, preferred
  • Preferred: 3-5+ years in SaaS or technology companies
  • prior audit experience
