You will contribute to delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable rail solutions across freight rail, LRT/subway commuter rail, and port rail projects.

In this role you will develop detailed track and railway infrastructure designs in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards (e.g., AREMA, FRA, Transport Canada, UIC).
You will prepare comprehensive alignment plans that address curvature, grading, elevation, drainage and special trackwork (turnouts, crossovers, storage tracks), and you will optimize layouts for safety, efficiency and sustainability under the guidance of senior engineers.
You will use engineering software to prepare, review and revise design drawings and documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with client specifications.
You will coordinate closely with designers and engineers across subsystems-signalling, traction power, civil works, structures, roads and drainage-to integrate track designs into the broader system.
You will participate in design reviews and coordination meetings, raise and help resolve technical conflicts, and support constructability and operational considerations to maintain design consistency across disciplines.
In this role you will ensure design work meets safety, regulatory and quality standards and help refine internal design guidelines as practices evolve.
In this role, you will support the design and planning of rail and transit infrastructure projects, working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation

$93k-$140k
