About the role

  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned, as necessary.
  • Dismantle machinery to remove or replace defective parts.
  • Identify complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems on production machinery and facility equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tasks such as greasing bearings, changing belts, changing oil, performing inspections, cleaning equipment, etc to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Support production workers during routine preventative maintenance activities; (TPM).
  • Optimize machine output by maximizing machine cycle times.
  • Identify key preventative tasks and implement them into company CMMS, to increase machine reliability.
  • Installs, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Optimize use of maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies needed to repair equipment to OEM standards.
  • Repair facility and building items as needed.
  • Responsible to perform Planner work flow functions in COGZ
  • The Lead Maintenance Technician provides expertise for equipment installation, start-up and maintenance of plant equipment.
  • This position also manages outside vendor relationships and provides project management support to maintenance projects.

Requirements

  • Lift: Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Push/Pull: Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds.
  • Stand: Must be able to stand 80% - 85% of the day.
  • Sitting: Must be able to sit 25% of the day.
  • Twisting/Bending: Must be able to twist/bend 75% of the day.
  • Squatting, Climbing and/or Crawling: Must be able to squat/climb/crawl 25% of the day.
  • Able to work on heights, climb several flights of stairs (over 5 stories) daily if required.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Associates Degree in related field or Technical Certificate or equivalent experience.

Skills

  • Microsoft Office knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Able to read and interpret directions and order details.
  • Able to communicate both in writing and verbally. Spanish Speaking a plus.
  • Basic IT Knowledge of IP Addresses and Routers highly desirable.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and electric schemes.
  • Basic knowledge of electricity, mechanics, and pneumatics. Experience with tools and machinery.
  • Utilize tools to evaluate malfunctioning equipment (ex. Multimeter, tachometer, callipers, etc.)
