Responsibilities

  • It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.
  • Description of Work
  • These services include, but are not limited to, behavioral assessment and treatment, staff training and management in the provision of behavior support services, participation with the Interdisciplinary Team, consultation with other Center staff, and psychological testing and evaluation.
  • While under the direction of clinical supervision, the behavioral programming specialist assists in the provision of a range of assessment and treatment services to approximately 25 residents with significant intellectual disorders and related developmental disabilities.
  • Services include assisting to provide behavior assessments; participating in interdisciplinary team processes; assisting a licensed psychologist or behavior analyst in the planning and evaluating treatment programs; assisting in the tracking and quality assurance of the treatment programs; and helping to provide staff training.
  • Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton, North Carolina is an ICF certified facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
