About the role

  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems promptly to minimize disruptions to daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to staff and learners for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Collaborate with back office, external vendors, and service providers for technical support and maintenance contracts.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and information.
  • Collaborate with the data and assessment team to ensure accurate and secure data management practices.
  • Generate reports and analyze data to support decision-making and inform technology-related initiatives.
  • Maintain data privacy and compliance with relevant data protection regulations, such as FERPA.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure technology integration and alignment with school-wide initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including staff, learners, parents, and external partners, regarding technology-related matters.

Skills

  • Monitor network performance and security to identify and resolve any issues or vulnerabilities.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and passwords for network resources.
  • Conduct regular backups of data and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software solutions to improve network and system efficiency.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and software solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in educational technology.
