About the role
- The Department of Medicine's Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PACCS) seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor faculty on the Academic or Clinician Track with clinical focus on Lung Transplantation.
- The clinical effort predominantly will be at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and Clinics and Surgery and Center, and University of Minnesota's East Bank Hospital.
- The faculty will participate actively and contribute to PACCS Division and Department of Medicine academic and clinical programs.

Requirements
- Applicants must have an M.D. and be ABIM certified or eligible in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

- Applicants must have an M.D. and be ABIM certified or eligible in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Candidates should have high quality training in Pulmonary and Critical Care and be considered as excellent physicians and role models for trainees. Candidates should have experience in academic research and/or educational activities with a high likelihood of ongoing achievement.
- Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA category while in the United States.
- Pay and Benefits:
- This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $272,669 - $411,672 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.

Compensation
- The remaining effort will be dedicated to education and collaborative research activities with the expectation of demonstrated accomplishments consistent with promotion in the academic track (an average of at least one publication per year, for example).
- Clinical effort may be reduced with participation in salary-supported activities (research, program leadership, etc).
