Requirements
- 5 years job related experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees an elected officials.
Nice to have
- Bilingual preferred.
Compensation
- $18.31 - $22.89 hourly based on qualifications

- Maintains contact with individuals and/or insurance companies regarding outstanding claims;
- Responds to insurance company explanation of benefits
- Appeals denials of claims in writing or over telephone; correct and rebills rejected claims.
- Releases medical records to patient or responsible party.
- Reviews patients medical accounts; maintains accurate records/reports in accordance to department, state and federal laws.
- Collects fees and makes change; reconciles and balances money accounts.
- Performs general clerical duties, such as, typing, filing, and preparing reports.
- Develops payment arrangements with patient or other responsible party.
- Assists walk-in patients, vendors and other department employees. Answers incoming telephone calls and routes incoming calls.
- Assists other employees with duties and reviews work of other employees.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
